Why you should blog
I can say lots for either for or against blogs - but this by far is the most important thing I will ever say YOU should Blog. You may say “what’s the point”, you may say “but I can’t write” or even “nobody will ever read them” - Even if nobody reads them, you should write them. Over time, it’s become pretty clear to me that blogging is a source of both innovation and clarity. It slows my brain down as I have to think about what I’m writing about. I have many of my best ideas and insights while blogging. Struggling to express things that you’re thinking or stuff that you’re feeling helps you understand them better. I’ve notices that lots of people all over the web have lots of important things to say either in email or on a sales page - but it won’t be anywhere near the impact you’ll have through blogging. I’ve talked to tons of people who either refuse to blog or are very reluctant to write blogs - everyone offers almost the same reasons: too busy, afraid that someone will read it, or even worse - no one would read it, or they are worried that they don’t have anything to say that anyone would be interested in or they won’t say it in the way that people can understand or they might ‘take it the wrong way’… None of the above. Not one of the above reasons should stop you from writing in your blog! I was going to write an answer to every reason given above - I then thought no. Here is an exercise… Look at all the reasons why you shouldn’t blog… Now look at those reasons you give why you shouldn’t blog. Pathetic. Now look again - all the reasons you give should be the reasons why you SHOULD blog. I’ll give you one reason WHY you should blog: 1. Go to Google - search for “We buy Kidneys” Blog now or forever hold your peace. Enough said.
